Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026 · No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
1. Summary in plain language
Strawberry Dice does not ask for an account, does not display adverts, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not build a profile of you.
Everything you generate on the site — dice results, roll codes, roll history, your plus/minus counter, your language, your sound preference and your Anti-Ban setting — is created inside your own browser and stays there.
We cannot see your rolls. There is no dashboard on our side showing what you rolled, when you rolled it, or which code belongs to which throw.
2. Data you generate on this site
The following items are written to your browser's local storage so the site can remember them between visits:
- Your recent roll records: the colours that landed, the timestamp and the 8-character roll code.
- Your plus/minus counter value.
- Your selected interface language.
- Whether sound effects are muted.
- Whether Anti-Ban Mode is switched on.
3. Local storage is not sent to us
Local storage is a browser feature. Unlike a cookie, it is never attached to network requests, so the values listed above are not transmitted to our servers, our hosting provider or anybody else.
You can delete all of it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. Doing so removes your history and any roll codes, which then cannot be looked up on the verify page.
4. Roll codes and verification
The 8-character code printed under each roll is generated locally and stored locally with that roll. Verification works by searching your own browser storage for the code.
This means codes are device-specific and browser-specific by design: a code created on your phone will not resolve on someone else's laptop. This is a deliberate privacy choice — it avoids uploading anybody's play history to a server.
5. Cookies and tracking
We do not set advertising cookies, we do not embed social widgets, and we do not run third-party analytics scripts that follow you around the web.
There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond the strictly necessary technical operation of loading the page.
6. Server logs
Like virtually every website, requests for pages, styles, scripts and fonts reach a hosting provider that may keep short-lived technical logs. Such logs can contain an IP address, a timestamp, the requested path and a user-agent string.
These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and reliability. They are not used to profile you, are not sold, and are not combined with anything you do inside the app, because nothing you do inside the app leaves your browser.
7. Fonts and external resources
The site may load a web font from a public font host in order to render its display typeface. When it does, your browser makes a request to that host, which can see your IP address and user-agent as part of serving the file. No identifiers are attached by us.
8. Sound
Sound effects are synthesised in the browser using the Web Audio API. No microphone is accessed, no audio is recorded, and no audio file is downloaded from a third party.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 or under 16 depending on your jurisdiction. Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing for us to delete on request beyond what already lives on your own device.
10. Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA grant rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. These rights apply to personal data held by an organisation.
As we do not hold personal data about you, there is no record for us to export, correct or erase. You exercise the practical equivalent of these rights directly, by viewing, editing or clearing the storage that belongs to your browser.
11. Data retention
We retain nothing about your play. Your browser retains the most recent roll records so history and code lookups keep working; older entries are dropped automatically as new rolls are added.
12. Security
Randomness is produced with your browser's cryptographic generator, and roll data never travels over the network, which removes an entire class of interception risk. We nevertheless recommend keeping your browser updated and being cautious with extensions, since an extension with page access can alter what you see on any website.
13. International visitors
The site can be used from anywhere. Because no personal data is collected or transferred, no international transfer mechanism is required for the content of your rolls. Technical log processing takes place wherever the hosting provider operates.
14. Changes to this policy
If the site ever gains a feature that genuinely processes personal data, this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be described here in plain language.
15. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent using the contact details published on the About page.
